Aqueous Microwave Assisted Chemistry: Synthesis and Catalysis (RSC Green Chemistry)
The demands for green and sustainable synthetic methods in the fields of healthcare and fine chemicals, combined with the pressure to produce these substances expeditiously and in an environmentally benign fashion, pose significant challenges to the synthetic chemical community. Kingsport Telco CO – Old MW Link
This old Microwave link used to connect to another tower about 10 miles away on Foxfire Ln. That old route has long since been traded for fiber optic links and the Foxfire site put to use as a cellular site.
This central office used to be "United Telephone" from the 60s to the early 90s, then it was bought out by Sprint, and is currently under the "Century Link" name. The old switch for the "Circle" exchanges 245 and 247 were serviced by a SxS with classic tone plant, and the 246 exchange was serviced by a XB-1 with pseudo ESS ring. The newer exchange 378 was serviced by a 1A-ESS. All exchanges served from this building were upgraded to DMS 100 in August of 1987.
Finally a picture of the front of the island, finished. Left side is a garbage pull-out; right side is a microwave. The MW cavity is 4" taller than the microwave, so I built a stand with a drawer in to take up the extra space (the single knob). The drawer is the longest/widest in the kitchen, but also the most shallow. Perfect for cutting boards and wraps.
